Italo-Brazilian of Mantuan origin, Guilherme Balista (Guilherme Douglas Balista) was born on September 20, 1991 in São José do Rio Preto (São Paulo, Brazil). He studied cinema and TV at Progetto LabCom and after a bachelor’s degree in theology at the Theological Seminary of the Christian Apologetic Research Center (2012-2015), he was ordained a Baptist pastor (2016). He attended improvement courses at Fundação Getulio Vargas, IFRS and Uninettuno. He was a missionary at the Baptist Church in Bálsamo (2017-2018) and chaplain at the Association of Evangelical Military Policemen of the State of São Paulo (2016 / -). Is a journalist, sworn translator for Italian and Portuguese at the Court of Mantua (Italy) and author of the book “Oriundi: Memórias entre dois continentes” (2020). Lives in Rome with his wife, the journalist Daiane Fontanelli, and daughter Elena.
